Dodd Kittsley:

So, Davis got into the ETF business in January of 2017, and there were a lot of reasons behind that. But the most important one is that advisors asked, and I gotta give credit to our clients back a decade ago that had the forward looking thinking of approaching our firm and asking, can you deliver your portfolios in an ETF format? And to the firm's credit, we kicked tires for a while, we did our due diligence, and saw that it not only was it possible, but it was very practical as well. So what was really driving behind that was our desire to provide choice.

Our firm was founded over 50 years ago in partnerships with advisors, and we believe that opening an opportunity set that advisors can tailor specifically for the needs of their clients using either mutual funds, SMAs, and now ETFs is a position of strength and allows folks to be able to access our best ideas within portfolios in any of those wrappers.

So when we launched, we wanted to launch on strategies that have been around from multiple, multiple decades where there was genuine interest and clear differentiation from what was out there in the marketplace.

So we have our large cap, maybe large cap value, depending on how you're looking at it, DUSA. We have financials, which is DFNL.

We have our global, which is DWLD, and for international, DINT, and we've been very pleased with the investor adoption and feedback that we've gotten on these products.

One of the great things about Davis ETFs is they combine two very desirable things. First, the best kind of qualities and components of active management that's been time tested, that's based on an investment discipline that continues to be refined from a learning based culture research based.

So you have all those great qualities that previously were only available in other types of structures. The other component that we combined was the great benefits that ETFs offer, The trading flexibility, the lower costs, the tax efficiency, which is really playing out in the eight years of our history.

So all those great things combined together is really something very special. And it's important to also note that it is based on a traditional ETF structure.

So this isn't something that is a kind of new unproven type of structure or strategy. It is based on two very time-tested things, the Davis investment discipline, as well as a traditional ETF structure.
